The Business Development team has recently revealed that they have partnered with View It 360 to produce Ashorne Hill a Virtual Reality Tour of the large Ashorne Hill estate.

‘Our aim is to invite potential clients to Ashorne Hill, we can then show off our fantastic facilities. Once they have seen our amazing grounds and the variety of meeting rooms we can offer – they are sold on us! However, it can be frustrating as a sales team when we have very little to show our clients due to being so busy and rooms being occupied’ said Sarah Glennie Business Development Manager at Ashorne Hill.

Staff at Ashorne Hill were lucky enough to meet Noel Sexton from View It 360 UK at an industry event and were amazed by the example Virtual Reality Tours he had produced. The team immediately began to think about all the possibilities the tour could bring to Ashorne Hill’s sale process.

Once commissioned and on a very tight deadline to complete the tour, in time for a large industry exhibition, View It 360 visited Ashorne Hill for a site visit to scope out the project.

Noel Sexton from View It 360 commented: ‘Having seen some images of Ashore Hill I knew it looked like a fairly large building, however it wasn’t until I had the site visit that I realised the full extent of the project! The Virtual Tour ended up covering 41,000 Sq Ft, and incorporated around 865 individual scan points. It was the biggest job I have undertaken using this technology and I think you would struggle to find a VR tour larger than Ashorne Hill anywhere in the UK’

Unlike traditional “virtual walk-through” technology, a VR tour is a fully immersive experience. The tours allow the user to navigate the space on a pc, tablet or mobile to experience a feeling as if they were actually walking around Ashorne Hill. The scan software features the ability to zoom out for a unique full 3D, 360° layout view of the building and offers a true feel for Ashorne Hill’s dimensions. Not only that but the client can view the tour through Virtual Reality headsets.

Rebecca Brooks – Business Development Executive said “Our new Virtual Reality Tour is fantastic! It is fabulous to be able to go out to a client and through the medium of Virtual Reality, we can give them a complete show-round of the building. It enables clients to picture where their event will be held and the location in relation to syndicate rooms, dining facilities and amenities. If we can’t get out to potential clients due to availability View It 360 has provided us with branded cardboard goggles that we can send out to client where they can easily download an app to access our tour – it’s great!”
