At Ashorne Hill, we’re committed to delivering meaningful social change.

We feel it’s very important for clients, colleagues and partners to know what we have in place for our corporate social responsibility and what we are implementing to drive change.

 

  • We are pioneers of the charitable initiative The Final Course – an initiative we hope will encourage clients who have enjoyed their dining experience with us to donate to The Trussell Trust – our local food bank partner, to enable those in need to have access to food and provisions.   • We use local and like-minded suppliers across our site (including local farmers) that matches our purpose and values
  • We support local charities: Guide Dogs, Myton Hospice and Cash for Kids
  • We have a clothes collection facility on site, supporting charity – Air Ambulance
  • We have a gender neutral toilet on site
  • We have defibrillators across our site
  • Our Too Good to Waste initiative offer colleagues with discounted meal options
  • We encourage our colleagues to participate in volunteering days in their local communities or further afield
  • We’ve introduced a sustainability value in our colleague recruitment, induction and appraisal processes
  • We offer apprenticeships in different departments throughout the business, and also work with local schools, offering work experience – sharing skills and knowledge to build better leaders for a brighter tomorrow
  • We have prayer and wellness rooms on site – encouraging physical and mental wellbeing in our clients and colleagues

  • Our chefs make a delicious variety of healthy meals, providing sustainable meal options for vegan, vegetarian and plant-based diets
  • We offer a zero alcohol beers and further drinks range in our bar, restaurant and tuck shop
  • We’ve introduced an Employee Assisted Programme with resources, trackers, recipes and advice
  • Fitness Facilities are available on site for both clients and colleagues
  • We provide a jogging trail spanning around our beautiful grounds
  • Wellness is important to us, this is why we provide the perfect grounds for wellness walks, wildlife walk and a nature trail
  • Our nature trail is perfect for taking time out – we also provide a map for those who want to take an extra special route

  • We are a Platinum ECO Smart accredited venue
  • We have planted 342 trees, removing 226.4t of CO2 from our atmosphere
  • We have wildflower planting available (which our clients enjoy)
  • We have 8 EV charging points, encouraging the use of electric vehicles
  • We use 100% renewable energy across our site
  • 85% of our site use led lighting
  • We do not use plastic water bottles and encourage clients to bring their own refillable bottles
  • We recycle 100% of our paper, card, glass, can and plastic
  • We have motion sensor lighting in low traffic areas across our site
  • We’ve been awarded Guardians of Grub partnerships status – for reducing food waste across our site
  • All our food waste are collected and disposed of correctly
  • We use QR codes to access our food menu rather than paper copies
  • We recycle used cooking oil
  • We use paper hand-towels made from recycled materials
  • We save coffee grinds and eggshells for guests to take away – this is perfect gardening
  • We collect rainwater for irrigation
  • We have bug hotels, wildlife walks, bat boxes and beehives across our site – encouraging appreciation of wildlife

  • We have ramps to access grounds from main building and also in selected meeting rooms
  • We have improved our path surfaces to allow wheelchair access to further parts of grounds
  • We provide bike storage
  • We have automatic doors across our site
  • We have 3 purpose built DDA accessible bedrooms on site along with a carer room
  • We have a lowered counter available at our reception
  • Coffee station adjustments for access users
  • We have lift access in parts of the building
  • We have a unisex DDA toilet on site
  • Fire Evacuation plan (PEEP/POP) allows those with access needs broader use of facilities
  • Public transport: Warwick Parkway and Leamington station short distance from our site
  • Inclusivity enabling group now available – focusing on accessibility for our clients and colleagues
