Ashorne Hill is proud as punch at the moment with the success of one our chefs in the recent annual Venues of Excellence Cook and Serve Challenge. Award winning Matt Wiltshire, Head Chef, scooped up the prestigious Champion Chef award on 27th October after cooking and presenting a truly scrumptious three course meal.
The award recognised his all-round abilities in menu selection (which Matt cleverly themed around Trafalgar Day which was being celebrated on the day of the competition), the innovative use of stipulated ingredients, preparation and of course, presentation and taste. The competition is always a tough one with top chefs from the Venues of Excellence consortium battling it out to be crowned the best of the best. Having entered and won several awards in previous years this recognition is a real accolade to the professionalism and pure skill that Matt has in producing food that tantalises the sensations.
A daily routine at Ashorne Hill sees our innovative, award-winning chefs offer choice and variety from extensive menus, all freshly prepared using seasonal local produce wherever possible. Special diets are catered for with over 30% vegetarian or vegan options available at every meal, and we offer catering from private dining up to 300 delegates per day.
Everyone at Ashorne is immensely proud of this achievement, and we are delighted to provide every one of our guests with a fantastic dining experience, whatever their event.
