Angie has 25 years’ experience working in Leadership and Management. Her experience in delivering and writing training courses covers many varied topics, industries, and sectors, and has been directly employed throughout her working career.

Over the years Angie has delivered and designed many bespoke programmes to enhance leadership, skills development, and organisational improved functionality. Specialties including performance, motivation, change management, teams, communication, and graduate programmes. She remains a Lifelong Learner, with a passion for learning, transformation and helping others.

Angie has worked at Ashorne Hill since 2004 and continues to enjoy the welcome always received with the team here and the varied work, clients, and the incorporation of the amenities at Ashorne into our courses, such as outdoor classrooms and varied learning spaces. Her favourite part of the job is meeting learners, building rapport with them, and finding the key learning aspects that resonate with them the most, to turn these into useful tools and opportunities to take back to their workplaces. She seeks to support individuals with the ‘What’s in it for me’ aspect to fully engage and encourage their self-development.

What are your biggest achievements?

 

Professionally: – As Training Lead, leading a Team of 6 Training Specialists to work on a large electronic digital health program for a Group of 5 hospitals, converting them each from paper to fully digitised hospitals with Patient electronic health records. Creating the training plan, all the training documentation, learning journeys, inventory of visual aids, delivered approximately 1000+ in person and virtual classes, during the COVID Pandemic, which created new ways of thinking, delivery, and numerous live start dates, building an incredible resilient and flexible training team.

Personally: – Emigrating to Canada, with my husband and two young children, creating a new life from scratch in a new country without any family or friends to rely upon. Her organisational skills really came to the fore, to move their whole lives twice between the two continents, she now feels she can achieve anything she sets her mind to! Happily sharing, the family made a successful new life, living out in Canada for nearly 13yrs, becoming dual citizens and loved the beautiful country. She’s always happy to talk with you about Canada.
