Shaping the Future of Learning at Insights Live Roadshow 2025, London

A deep dive into the human skills and technologies redefining how organisations learn.

On 28 November 2025, learning and development leaders from across the UK came together at Kings Place for Day 2 of the London edition of the Insights® Live Roadshow 2025. Designed exclusively for Insights® Partners and Licensed Practitioners, the Partner Edition offered a deep dive into market shifts, business growth opportunities, and the evolving capabilities that will shape the next era of organisational learning.

Representing Ashorne Advantage as an Insights Discovery® Partner, Sanjit Sahota was invited to join a 45-minute panel conversation exploring the future of learning and development.

Alongside three fellow experts in L&D, she discussed how organisations can design learning that supports performance, employee experience, and long-term workforce resilience.

One of the central themes of the session was how rapidly shifting workforce needs are redefining learning strategies. They explored how partners and businesses can embed learning more seamlessly into daily work, make development accessible and inclusive for diverse teams, and maintain a strong human-centric approach even as technology accelerates transformation.

During the discussion, Sanjit shared three key messages:

AI as an enabler, not a replacement

When used thoughtfully, artificial intelligence can personalise learner journeys and increase effectiveness. But technology must be balanced with human judgment to prevent bias and reinforce learning that feels meaningful and ethical.

Skills over job titles

Workforce agility depends on transferable, continuously renewed capabilities. By focusing on skills rather than rigid job roles, organisations strengthen adaptability and open new pathways for talent development and retention.

Hybrid learning that maintains human connection

The future isn’t exclusive to digital or face-to-face methods; it combines both. Digital platforms can support fundamental learning, while virtual and in-person experiences foster collaboration, coaching, and social learning that boost confidence and drive behaviour change.

The audience was highly engaged, especially during a conversation about which human skills are most urgently in demand. Responses varied widely, from empathy to adaptability to communication, reinforcing the pressing need for development that supports not only performance, but also well-being and belonging.
